The Florida Association of Retired Firefighters
Also known as the "FOOF"
Fraternal Order of Firefighters

Which has been in existence since 1950.
This fraternal organization is comprised of retired firefighters from all over the United States who have retired and moved to Florida.

Many Firefighters leave the camaraderie of their respective fire departments and make the retirement trek to Florida.

Wouldn't it be nice to be able to discuss war stories and socialize with other former firefighters?

Currently only one "Chapter" exists in Jacksonville, Florida but other chapters are planned for the Miami, Orlando, Tampa, Tallahassee and Gainesville areas.

Currently, dues are a reasonable $26.00 per year. Several functions are scheduled throughout the year including dinner dances, fishing tournaments, and golf tournaments.

This web page is currently an offshoot of the Jacksonville Retired Firefighters Association web site. We plan to have a separate website soon dedicated to this endeavor.

All Dinner and Dances will be held at the Firefighters Hall, 628 Stockton St. with social hour beginning at 6pm and dinner at 7pm on the date listed, unless otherwise announced.

 

Reminders will be emailed 1-2 weeks before each event.

·        June 19th, 2009  A-shift Friday: dinner and dance

·        August 22nd, 2009  B-shift Saturday: dinner and dance

·        October 16th, 2009  C-shift Friday: dinner and dance

·        December 4th, 2009 A-shift Friday: dinner and dance

·        January 22nd, 2010  B-Shift Friday: dinner and dance
